REWARDS
Along with praise, stickers and trips to SpongeBob (the treat box) the students can earn the following rewards for staying on blue.
15 days = A trip to the prize box
25 days = *Free restroom pass
35 days = Lunch with teacher
45 days = 15 minutes free choice
As soon as they reach 45 days we begin counting again.
* A free restroom pass means that the child may use the restroom once each day of the assigned week without having to "rent" another student to go with them. For safety purposes, no child will ever leave the classroom without the company of another. Even to the restroom which is next door to our class. So if a child forgets to use the restroom on the way out to recess or lunch and now needs to miss lesson time, the other student who chaperones them must be paid a sticker in payment of having to miss part of a lesson. The child needing to go to the restroom is the one who pays the sticker.
All students at Barranca Elementary School are expected to follow school-wide rules and procedures, do their homework and class assignments, keep hands/feet/objects to themselves, use appropriate and respectful language, respect school property and others' belongings, and to follow directions given by adults in charge. Please remind your child that tag, tackling, "play fighting" and other rough play is not permitted on the playground or anywhere else at school.
